This is a beautiful open edition giclée print by Manchester based artist Michael Gutteridge. The design shows Manchester’s iconic Cornerhouse Cinema, now closed and transferred to HOME, on the corner of Oxford Road before the hill that takes up to Oxford Road Train Station. The setting of the painting takes place at nighttime, showing the soft light coming out of many of the surrounding red brick building’s windows. The Van Gogh styled starry night sky that characterises Gutteridge’s work is beautifully presented in this artwork. This print is a perfect home gift, and a great addition to your wall art collection.

“This print is from a second version of a painting of a nocturnal scene of the top end of Oxford Road in Manchester incorporating Victorian buildings such as the spectacular Palace Hotel and the former Cornerhouse cinema and theatre, done with a bold use of colour in a distortive, expressionist style. This juxtaposition of buildings and the bustle of the area, made it an attractive scene to paint”. Michael Gutteridge
